Step 3

Now select Accounts from this drop down menu

Now select Accounts from this drop down menu

Step 4

A new window will pop up. In this window you should see email accounts you already have, or that are automatically setup by microsoft. If you did not setup any email accounts and you are sure no one else uses outlook to check there mail on this computer you may select each account and REMOVE them.

Once you have removed all email or email that you no longer need, then click the Add button and select Mail from the drop down menu.

click the Add button and select Mail from the drop down menu.

Step 5

You should now see the email setup wizard (or Internet Connection Wizard). In the Display name box you may enter your name or the name that you would like displayed when a person receives an email from you. You may put your first and last name or whatever the email relates to, like Sales, Support, Info, Customer Service etc.

In the Display name box you may enter your name or the name that you would like displayed when a person receives an email from you.

Step 6

Next enter your new email address for this account. For instance, I would put dan@domainname.com.

Next enter your new email address for this account.

Step 7

Now we are going to add in our email server information for our outgoing and incoming emails. In other words we can have different computers handling email when we send or receive. We are going to use the same server as both. Since our host is handling our domain names, they are actually handling our email server as well. In both boxes put in your domain name (no www.) with the word mail or SMTP in front of it. For example, I would put mail.domainname.com in both boxes. If we one the domain name www.website.com then we would put in mail.website.com.

In both boxes put in your domain name (no www.) with the word mail.

Step 8

In the next box, we are going to put in our entire email address, because the website host that we are using prefers it this way. Normally it would be just the name of the email account. Now put in your password and check the Remember password box. This way we do not have to keep putting in our username and password every time we check our mail.

Step 9

This step is asking you if you want to import email from another account, click Do not import at this time
